FRISK ... THANK YOU!

Saturday 14 November marked the final weekly Frisk night at Baropen in Perth. After exactly 3 years at the venue the time had come for Frisk to take to new adventures and a new home. Her 3rd birthday recognised some huge achievements and accolades including Best WA Club Night, Runner Up Most Popular Club Night, and the second longest running weekly sequential club night in Australia! More than a club night Frisk became a culture and play a pivotal role in developing club music scene in Perth.

Frisk’s long list of performers over the years have been impressive for a shitty little disco to say the least and seen those in a club that would only ever be seen at festival type events from 

Princess Superstar and Dirty South, to Mark Doyle, Funkagenda and D Ramirez to name a few.

But it’s not the last time we have seen or heard Frisk in Perth, it’s quite the contrary. While her weekly episodic nights continue in a new home in Kuala Lumpa, there are plans for her return to Perth as an event symbolic of what she became famous for! Stay tuned …
